We are pleased to share with you one of our new light sensors, which is based on the VEML7700, with Near-IR channel support and a larger measuring range:

VEML7700 = 0 - 120 klux

BH1750 = 0 - 65K lux

It performs well in dim light, but the BH1750 is not a bad performer in its own right.

All in all, this is one of the few sensors based on the VEML7700 and we invite you to come along and explore its possibilities.

Current light reading core code from latonita (https://github.com/latonita/esphome-veml7700)

Some basic specs:

  • USB-C powered
  • Exposed light sensor that receives enough light
  • base on espshome

For the first explorers, we are offering a 10% discount to welcome you to experience this light sensor.
