We are pleased to share insights from our CO sensor tests:
- Sensor consistency is excellent; two units tested at the same location produced nearly identical readings.
- Occasional 2ppm readings in air are considered normal, as the error margin is 5ppm.
- Burning paper and collecting the smoke in a container can be used to test high-capacity CO performance.
- Under normal conditions, CO readings are zero.
- Gas, coal, and tobacco smoke can all produce CO.
- CO levels above 190 ppm are considered highly dangerous.
- We set an alarm threshold in the sensor, which actually triggers an alarm property.
- Installation at higher positions is recommended, as CO tends to rise.
- The sensor holds UL certification with a UL certificate(
UL-US-2557598-0), which appears to indicate a certain level of reliability.
