As the SFA-1 (SFA30) is gradually being phased out, we have conducted further testing of the SFA40. During these tests, we identified several potential causes of discrepancies between the SFA40 and SFA30 readings; these may stem from an incorrect annotation in the module documentation. Following further testing, we believe we have identified the likely cause of the discrepancies. We have revised the reading algorithm and re-scaled the values read by the SFA-40A; their behaviour now closely resembles that of the SFA-30! Through ongoing testing, we believe this new algorithm better showcases the SFA-40’s excellent detection capabilities. We recommend that all SFA-40A users update to the new firmware.
What’s New:
- Based on the latest documentation following the official release, the reading display has been optimised; the values displayed are now approximately ten times higher than before, bringing them closer to those of the SFA30 and meeting the error tolerance of 20 ppb.
How to update:
- Connect the SFA-40A to your computer, open the online update tool( https://tool.screek.io/factory_tool/sfa-40 ), and click ‘Write Firmware’ (you can retain your settings, so you won’t need to reconfigure the network).
- If necessary, you can use the tool to reconfigure the network.
Thank you for your support :) Have fun.
